Glossary

Control Panel The "Brains" of your system. Usually placed in a closet or another out-of-the-way space.
Keypad The box by the front door or garage where you input your code to set or turn off your alarm.
Siren If a door or window is opened that does not have a delay, or your alarm has been going off for a very long time, a very loud siren will sound.
Wireless Key A car-key sized device that allows you to set and turn off the alarm without having to use the mounted keypad.
Motion Detector Detects movement in the house or business that will trigger the alarm if set to do so.
Smoke Detector Will detect smoke in the house or business and sound an alert alarm.
Window/Door Sensors When a door or window with sensors on it is opened, the alarm will go off to alert those inside of a intruder.
Glassbreak Detector If a burglar tries to get in a home or business by breaking a window, the sound of the glass breaking will trigger the alarm.
